Next, You Need A Bible

The Bible is your basic guidebook for the Christian life. Many Christians consider it to be the infallible Word of God, literally correct in all respects and containing all knowledge needed for the proper conduct of human life. Other Christians admit the possibility of some error, but still believe that the Bible is essentially true in most respects and very, very important. Either way, you need it.

You should have a printed hard copy of The Bible for yourself, so you can actually possess the Word of God. I have found that the good old Revised Standard Version (RSV) is frequently the best choice for all-around use. It is quite accurate and widely accepted among Christians of differing beliefs. The (old) King James Version is magnificent, my favorite by far, but its Shakespearean language presents difficulties for many modern readers. Use it if you can.

Also, you need access to an on-line Bible, for electronic searching. The most popular online source for the Bible (many versions) is here: =>Gospelcom Bible Gateway Please spend an hour or so learning your way around this link. It is very powerful, yet easy to use.

A Prayer And Commentary To Help You Get Started

Essentials Of The Christian Faith
