(4) John Crouch b ca1768, d . John Crouch s/o John & Susannah (Ellis) Crouch [According to Mrs. L.M. Crouch Jr.: John Crouch in NC 1798 & 1800; deed of 1800 names wife Susannah. She thinks he was the John Crouch early in Richmond Co NC]. This was Susannah Williams, daughter of Capt. Charles Williams. (We have some materials on how to distinguish the different Mrs. John Crouches, and why we think this John Crouch's wife was this person.) [John Crouch was not listed in the sequence of births in the Douglas Register]. John and Susannah Williams Crouch settled in Williamson Co., TN between May 1811 and Dec 1813, when John Crouch died. John, his wife Susannah Crouch, and her second husband, Ephraim Brown, all left wills or estate administrations.
