"The first CROUCH [in this line] (first name unknown) was from the London, England
area. His son William emigrated to Suffolk Co., MA 1627-1649. William had a brother, Richard, who probated his will in St. Giles parish in London and named his brother, "William who lives in the New World..." or something to that effect. The family migrated through the years from Suffolk Co. to Worcester Co., MA to Tolland Co., CT., to Yates Co., NY, to Stark Co., IN, to Grand
Traverse Co., MI."

William Crouch's age deposed as 36. 21 Jun 1674 William Crouch excommunicated. William
Crouch was in Indian wars with 2 sons.1676 William Crouch was in King Philip's War with sons David & Arthur Crouch. ca1677 William Crouch died of smallpox. William Crouch the brother of Richard Crouch who made his Will in London in 1660. William
Crouch estate: Had lands in 1658. 18 May 1724 at a town meeting, "Crouch's house-lot voted to
be sold;" "the house had been sold to John Benjamin 1719-20." See town deed to J. Bradish,
1732. Admin to A. Cleveland (widow Elizabeth ae 90, living) March 14, 1714-15. Inventory
April 8: £33; 1 _ roods land at end of causeway; 3/4 acre out of neck, between widow Fosket
and widow Redlin; wood-lot, 7 acres, 1st division; and, he thinks, lot 7 acres in 2d division.
Widow Crouch is referred to in J. Fosket's deeds of W. Crouch and of C. Goodwin, 1678. She
was on tithe-list 1677-8.
