Josiah Crouch b ca1827, TN; d (after 1900), (probably Madison Co IN or Tipton Co IN); m 17 Mar 1846, Campbell Co TN, Louisa Branham. Louisa Branham b ca1826, TN; d (before 1900), [probably IN]; (Josiah parents unknown to me [Mrs. L.M.Crouch Jr.], by census perhaps both b TN). (According to 1900 census, Josiah Crouch b Feb 1820). Josiah Crouch had land in Campbell Co, TN close to the TN-KY line. 1850 census Campbell Co TN lists Josiah Crouch & family. 1860 census Campbell Co TN lists Josiah Crouch. 1862 Josiah Crouch & family moved to Johnson Co IN. 1870 census Johnson Co IN lists Josiah Crouch. 1880 census Tipton Co IN lists Josiah Crouch. 1900 census lists Josiah Crouch, a widower, in two households, that of his son William Crouch in Madison Co IN, and that of his son Thomas Crouch in Tipton Co IN, so he evidently lived part time with one and part time with the other. 1850 Census info (The census records I have had from various correspondents which apply to these families show such variances (as census records are known to do) that I list these children from my own conjecture as to order and approximate birth dates). Prior to 1895 David Crouch family moved to Camden Co MO, living northwest of Climax Springs near Hastain, with the "Butts Clan". 1910 census Camden Co MO lists David Crouch. David Elsworth & Nellie (Butts) Crouch's children were all born between 1895 & 1915. David Elsworth & Nellie (Butts) Crouch had 8 children:

Thomas Lloyd Crouch s/o David Elsworth & Nellie Jane (Butts) Crouch. Artie Morris b 19 Oct 1906, MO; d 18 Mar 1983, Windsor, Henry Co MO; Thomas Lloyd & Artie Mishie (Morris) Crouch buried at Windsor, Henry Co MO. Thomas Lloyd Crouch's father born in IN, his mother in AR. Thomas Lloyd Crouch called "Tom" or "Tommy". Thomas Crouch was a farmer and a timber worker; Artie (Morris) Crouch was a school teacher. They lived near Climax Springs MO until ca1955; moved to Versailles, Morgan Co MO for a year; then to Windsor, Henry Co MO. Thomas Crouch farmed and drove a school bus the last 18 or 20 years of his life. Thomas Lloyd & Artie Mishie (Morris) Crouch had 4 sons & 3 daughters:

Information on Certificate of military service for William F. Crouch copied from material from
Mrs. L. M. Crouch, Jr., 909 East Pearl St, Harrisonville MO 64701 with ltr dtd 12 May 1990 to
Glenn Crouch, 1104 S 35th Ave, Omaha NE 68105-1906. Attached to this letter a photocopy of
a certificate of military service on William F. Crouch. It reads:
Executive Department Indiana, Adjutant General's Office, Indianapolis April 16 1879. "This
certifies, That the official records of which I am the lawful Custodian on file in this office show
that CROUCH, William F. joined for duty and was enrolled as a Private of Company A, 148th
Regiment Indiana Volunteers at Greensburg, INDIANA (Decatur Co) on the 6th day of February
1865, by B. F. Price and that he was duly mustered into the Military Service of the United States
at Greensburg, Indiana on the 6th day of February 1865, for the term of one years, by Captain Hill Mustering Officer. Age: 18 Eyes: hazel Hair: dark Height 5' 9" Complexion: dark Nativity: Tennessee Occupation: Farmer Mustered out at Nashville, Tennessee, September 5, 1865. This Certificate is given as official evidence of enlistment, service and muster-out of William F. Crouch of Company A, 148th Regiment Indiana Volunteers."
