26. Robert of Caen (natural son of Henry I), b. ca. 1090, d. 31 Oct. 1147, called the Consull, Earl of Gloucester, 1122-1147; m. Maud, dau. of Robert Fitz Hamon, [or Fitz Hamond] Lord of Crelly in Calverdos, Baron of Thoringni, and also m. Sybil, dau. of Roger de Montgomery, Earl of Shrewsbury. (Maud was either a.k.a Mabel or had a sister by that name who also bore Robert children).

27. Maud, d. 29 July 1189; m. ca. 1141, Ranulf de Guernan, d. 16 Dec. 1153, Viscount d'Avranches, Earl of Chester, son of Lucy and Ranulph de Meschines, Earl of Chester

28. Hugh of Kevelioc, b. 1147, d. 1181, Earl of Chester; m. 11691 Bertrade d'Evreux de Montfort, dau. of Simon, Count of Montfort L'Amauri and Agnes d'Evreux. (Dau. of Richard 3, son of Robert 2, son of Robert I of Normandy). Three of their daughters were:

29A. Hawise of Chester, b. 1180, d. 1241/3, Countess of Lincoln; m. Robert de Quincy (1-28).
29B. Maud of Chester, b. 1171, d. 1233; m. 26 Aug. 1190, David, b. 1144-, d. 17 June 1219, Earl of Huntingdon.
29C. Mabel of Chester, m. William D'Aubigny, d. 1220, Earl of Arundel. Their descendants (including Nances), and his ancestry.
