According to the Sept. 8, 1921 obituary of daughter, Julia Crouch Kunkleman, in the Miller News-Herald, Allen and Jane moved to Missouri in 1856.

Lawrence Co. Missouri Probate, Box 12, File 305: Allen CROUCH. Jonathan Hunt, Adm. Letters Jan. 8, 1864. Bondsmen, Jonathan Hunt, John B. Hunt, and Henry S. Worsham; Jan. 8, 1864. Affidavit of Jonathan Hunt states heirs are Julia A. Saluder, formerly Crouch, Phelps Co., Mo., Stephen Crouch, James A. Crouch, William T. Crouch, Joseph Crouch and Jonathan Crouch who reside in Lawrence Co., Mo., and deceased died without a will; dated Jan. 8, 1864. Attalanta Crouch 'waves rite' to administer to Daniel Hunt Jan. 6, 1864. (this affidavit found in file 323; replaced in file 305). Final settlement Jan. 15, 1867.

Affidavit of Jonathan Hunt states heirs are Juley A. Kunkleman, Phelps Co., MO, sister of deceased, William T. Crouch, Joseph M. Crouch, and James E. Crouch, brothers of said deceased and Jonathan Crouch, half-brother of deceased, all of Lawrence Co., MO; deceased died without a will; dated July 21, 1865. Final settlement Oct. 22, 1868, names Wm. T., Joseph M., James E., and Jonathan Crouch as minors; Jonathan Hunt, curator. (Lawrence County Missouri Probabe 1845-1870, published by the Lawrence County Historical Society, P. O. Box 406, Mt.
