James Crouch Sr. was born December 1836, Washington Co. TN, son of Sarah
and Elijah Crouch.
Died February 15, 1925, Oklahoma. His first wife was Mary Jane Samuel
Keene, born ca 1841, Gallitin Co. Kentucky died ca 1870. Sometime after
his first wife died, James Sr., James Jr. and Keene left Kentucky and first
settled in Kansas.
James Sr. remarried to Priscilla Ann Jones born 5 Feb 1851 in
Bartholomew County, Indiana. She died 6 May 1923 Driftwood, Woods County,
Oklahoma. Buried in Kiowa, Kansas, where the twins Harry and Ray were living.
Children of Mary Jane and James Crouch Sr. b. 1836, son of Sarah
and Elijah Crouch:
1. Keene Crouch 1862-1944 He was born in Gallitin Co, Kent. He died
in Kiowa, Kansas. Did not marry or have children.
2. John Crouch b. ca 1863, I have no information except that he was
on the 1870 census in Gallatin Co.
3. James Crouch Jr.(Jim) born August 1864
Warsaw, Gallitin Co., Kent.
died April 25, 1925.
4. Robert Crouch, b. ca 1869, I have no information except that he
was on the 1870 census in Gallatin Co.
Children of Priscilla Ann and James Crouch Sr. b. 1836, , son of
Sarah and Elijah Crouch:
5. Earl Deaury Crouch, born 1880, Medicine
Lodge, Kansas, died January 23, 1959 in Glendale, CA
6. Beryl Crouch, died young, date and birth order unknown.
7. Harry Jay Crouch, born 1890 , Medicine Lodge, KS. Moved to California,
married, no children. Died in California.
8. Harold Ray Crouch, born 1890 (twins), Medicine Lodge, KS. [But
according to census records they were both born 1888.] Ray stayed in Oklahoma
and did not marry.
The family moved to OK and were in the 1900 census living in the
township of Driftwood, Woods Co., OK. In the 1910 & 1920 census has
them listed, but not the location except they were in Woods, County.
My sources are Dr. Winston W. Crouch, a descendant of James B. one of Jesse's
brothers. He did
a huge amount of research on his family; his daughter, Arlene Crouch Quinn
sent me a
lot of his stuff. Other sources were Esta Rae Crouch, James G. Crouch,

Y.
Crouch, Daphne G. Stauffer, my own research in sending for marriage
