Earl Deaury Crouch, my grandfather, son of Priscilla Ann Jones and James Crouch Sr., married Allie Roberta Murphy on March 21, 1911. They settled in Buffalo, Harper Co., OK. Allie was born September 9, 1891, Pixley, Kansas. Died August 28 1982, California.

They had five children:

1. Evelyn Yvonne Crouch born September 1911, Buffalo, OK. Still living. This is Earl Miner's mother.
2. Kendall Earl Crouch, born October 8, 1912, Buffalo, died September 27, 1991, Duarte, CA.
3. James Guilford Crouch, born May 18, 1916, Buffalo died May 19, 2000 in or near Grass Valley, CA.
4. Esta Rae Crouch, born July 16, 1918, Buffalo, died February 7, 2000, Glendale, CA.
5. Merlin Crouch born May 21, 1925, Buffalo, died May 8 1979, CA.

My father was the first in his family to come to California. He came here
in the early 30's, his brother James Guilford followed. By the early 40's
they were all in California in the Los Angeles area.

My sources are Dr. Winston W. Crouch, a descendant of James B. one of Jesse's brothers. He did
a huge amount of research on his family; his daughter, Arlene Crouch Quinn sent me a
lot of his stuff. Other sources were Esta Rae Crouch, James G. Crouch,
Gertrude Murphy, Edna Stone, Gladys Iris Crouch, Carmelita Clark, Evelyn Y.
Crouch, Daphne G. Stauffer, my own research in sending for marriage
certificates, such as James and Lizzie's and looking at census information.
