Dorothy Virginia Edelin1902-1972, , dau. of John Walter
Edelin Sr. and Mary Elizabeth Cox., m. 1921 Gorman Morgan Hendricks
1895-1955, a reporter and later star of the documentary "On
the Bowery." They were born in D.C. but moved to Lyon Village,
Arlington County, Virginia soon after marrying. Gorman's mother also moved
to Lyon Village. Gorman Hendricks was a childhood playmate of J. Edgar Hoover,
and was a cause celebre when he did a story on bootleggers and went to jail
for refusing to name his sources. Gorman and Dorothy divorced.
