Margaret Virginia Swanick
Longtime and active resident of Mont Vernon
Margaret "Peg" Virginia (Hendricks) Swanick, 81, died Feb. 21,
2005.
She was a longtime resident and active member of the community of Mont Vernon.
She was employed at Blood's Turkey Farm in Mont Vernon and Kenmore Stamp
Factory in Milford.
She loved cooking and was known for her fried chicken.
She was the widow of Vincent H. Swanick, and was predeceased by her son,
Thomas J. Swanick.
She is survived by three children, Barbara A. Archibald of Palmer, Alaska;
Margaret (Siddy) Tower and her husband, Frank, and John Bruce Swanick and
his wife, Claire, of Manchester; a sister, Marybeth Pierce of Richmond,
Va.; a brother and sister-in-law, Jim Swanick and Janet Cooper, both of
Wolfeboro; 13 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; a great-grandchild;
and many nieces, nephews cousins and friends.
There is no funeral. A spring burial and family gathering is planned.
Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Thomas Swanick
Navy veteran of the Vietnam War
Thomas Swanick, 55, born Dec. 4, 1947, died in Manchester on June 25, 2003,
after a long battle with cancer.
Swanick was a Navy veteran who served in the Vietnam War. He was a member
of the American Legion.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and traveling. He also had a love for good friends,
cold beer and a great time. Mr. Swanick enjoyed his life to the fullest
and will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his mother Margaret Swanick of Milford; two sisters, Barbara
Archibald of Palmer, Alaska, Siddy Tower of Mont Vernon; a brother, Bruce
Swanick of Manchester; three children, Dawn Carey of New Boston, Thomas
Swanick of Nashua, and Troy Swanick of New Boston; and six grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at the New Hampshire Veterans Cemetery in
Boscawen on Friday, July 11, at 2 p.m. All are welcome to attend.
