I am trying to find information regarding my Grandfather--Hugh
Percival Crouch. He was the son of James Nicholas Crouch and
Mary Wetmore. James Nicholas was the son of Jessie Hiter Crouch
and Jemima McGuire. All I have is that he was borne June 20,
1871 in St Louis Mo. and that he died May 21, 1909. I believe he
was married prior to being married to my Grandmother who was
Irene Abbey Templar.

I've been doing some research...one source says that Hugh was the
son of James Nicholas and the other shows him as the son of
Joseph Crouch. I also find that James Nicholas only shows a
daughter named Mabel but Joseph shows Hugh, Theadore, and Mary. I
do remember my dad talking about Uncle Thea.
Any information that anyone can provide would be much
appreciated. As mentioned my grandfather is Hugh Percival Crouch
who died when my Dad was only 2 years old. I would really like to
find out more about him and my roots.

Just some more info I have found and searching for....any info on
Mary Abilia Crouch Smith who I am showing as a sister to both
Hugh and Theodore. Info on her is showing on the site, but I can
not find anything yet about another site which shows Hugh and
Theordore as her brothers. Nor can I find and birth/death dates
for her.
Again any help in my search would be appreciated.

Dear Ms. Lee:
My information on this line came from a man named Mac Ardell Smith in Alabama, who was a descendant of Mary Martha Adelia Crouch Smith. I have his address somewhere and will try to find it.

Thanks so much...I have run in to a bit of a question that I am trying to
resolve regarding who were my Grandfather's siblings and who was his Father.
One source shows Joseph Crouch (son of Jessie Hiter Crouch/Jemimah McGuire)
having 3 children, Mary Adelia (Smith), Theodore, and Hugh. My other source
shows James Nicolas Crouch (son of Jessie Hiter Crouch/Jemimah McGuire)
having 1 child named Mabel and then another source showing him with 5
children Mabel (b1867--England), Hugh Percival (b1871--St Louis) Gladys
(b1873--St Louis), Mable (another Mable but spelled a bit different
b1875--England), and Jennie (b1877--England). I am not sure of the accuracy
of the last source.
Any sources or help would be much appreciated.

I am still looking for any information regarding my Grandfather,
Hugh Percival Crouch. I believe he was married before he married
my Grandmother Irene Templar. He was born in Tennesse but died
in St. Louis of Heat Stroke in 1916. Any information would be
much appreciated as my his son/my Dad was only 2 when he died so
I have very little information about the Crouch side of my
family.

I am still trying to find info on my Grandfather, Hugh Percival
Crouch born 1871 I believe in Tennessee. However, I know he
moved to Omaha Nebraska which is where my father Francis Harry
Clemence Crouch was born in 1914. I believe my Grandmother was
Hugh's second wife and that he had children from his first
marriage. Any information would be much appreciated. Thanks.
