I am looking for information about William Crouch
(Great Grandfather) probably born in Tennessee
about 1860. He was a Vanderbilt trained physician who practiced in or near
Clarkesville Tennessee and died around 1900. Believe his wife was named
Margarite Crouch and he had a brother named Hunter. All this information

in Jonesville, TN.. He was married to Agnes Anthony..they
lived in Belvider, Nebraska.. He died Oct 3, 1926... His
father's name was John Crouch & He was born in England...Any
info would be greatly appreciated.

Looking for the parents of David Crouch who married Rhoda Gowen
in Davidson County TN in 1799. He probably would have been born
in VA as TN was formed later than his birth would have occured,
he also lived in KY when a their child was born in 1807.

Hi
I have recently found information stating that my gg-grandfather
James M Crouch was born in Washington Co., TN. His headstone
lists a birthdate of July, 1820. Any help in identifying his
parents would be appreciated.
I know that he was married in 1840 to Alvina Jane Milburn in
Greene Co. where he lived till about 1861. He then moved to
Dalton, Whitfield Co., GA where he lived the remainder of his
life. The 1880 and 1900 census says he and his parents were all
born in TN. A list from the 1864 Militia re-org in GA says he
was born in Washington Co., TN.
I have been unable to tie him in with any of the known Crouch
families listed for Washingotn County, but believe he is related
somehow. I have not yet established his death date (somewhere
between Aug 1900-1910) or located probate info, but I am working on it.
Any help or info would be appreciated.

I am looking for information on Eliza M. Crouch b.1 Feb 1835 M.20
Jul 1854 to James H. Hale b.2 Jul 1830 they were married in
Washington County, TN. What I would like is Parents names and
sibling names as well as their Childrens names.. I have data that
states that James father was Lewis Hale but I haven't been able to
confirm the data.. Also on Eliza I have found data that her father
was John Crouch m. to Theodotia Hale but no confirmation.. Help Please
Reply by John Crouch: I looked all through the genealogy I have on the web
site, and did not see an Eliza Crouch in that generation, nor a James Hale.
The 1988 History of Washington County does not have an Eliza Crouch. The
Hale articles in that book mention a Lewis Hale who fought in the Revolution,
but don't list his children. It has a picture of a James Huvil Hale with
his father, James Ellis Hale and mother Nancee Ferguson Hale. It also traces
the Hales back to 1620.
The Crouches and Hales in Boones' Creek are related many different ways.

Seeking info on Hoyt Crouch. At one time had a
Tenn 1880 census listing him with four sisters but data was destroyed. I
am not sure he is the correct Hoyt should have been born about 1900 He Married
Elsie Bougess in about 1916-17 and was a pro baseball(oldtime) player at

I am descended from Pleasant Crouch through his son Martin, and HIS son
Jacob Clinton Columbus Crouch. Looking for cousins. Pleasant M. Crouch was
from TN, born 1817; he died 1868 in Sebastian, AR, and buried in a cemetery
south of Hartford, Sebastian, AR. Martin E. Crouch was b. in Gasconade,
MO 22 Sep 1845 and d. 25 Mar 1918 at Crown, Atascosa Co., TX; he was buried
in the Crouch section of the Jourdanton City Cemetery. I've seen his and
his wife's graves. My grandmother is buried there with them. -- Leana Jane

from his son Obadiah Crouch who was born in Bowling Green KY in
1807 and he married Annis Swor. This union produced 14 children
in Henry County TN.
I have the names of these children and several of the men
participated in The War Between the States and two were killed.

I am looking for information on the the family of Nancy Clementine Crouch.
She was born 4-9-1840 in TN. Her father is Thomas Crouch and her mother
is Alicy/Ailcy Crouch. Thomas Crouch was born abt. 1818 in KY; Alicy/Ailcy
Crouch was born abt. 1822 in TN. Nancy Clementine Crouch married Samuel
J. Gibbs in Warren County TN. They had at least 6 children.

I found your web site and noticed several references to member
of the King family from Tennessee. Many of the names found are
the same as or similar to nemes in my King Family tree. My
grandfather was John Harvey King (1825 - 1921) and my
GGrandfather was William King (1825 - est 1885). Other names are
also found in both lineages. Could you share any information
that might help me. I have been stuck for a year or so with my
GGGrandfather John King (1892 - est 1860) who married Judith
Ford in 1812, Most of my King ancestors were found in Knox
County, TN, and the Ford line came from VA to TN. Thanks.

We are the grandchildren of Talbert Crouch and Rancel Ann Brown Crouch.
Talbert had a brother named Fate Crouch. These two were born somewhere
around McMinnville, Tennessee. If you know of any connections information

The parents of Fate and Talbert are reportedly buried in the Fountain Grove
Cemetery in Coffee County, TN.
My name is James Douglass Crouch, son of William Benjamin Crouch (b. 1907)
and Cherry Lou Hansen Crouch (b. 1915). William was the oldest of nine
children born to William Thomas Crouch and Sarah McClure Crouch somewhere
in
Tennessee. Sarah died of malnutrition during the great depression and
William moved the family to Denton, Texas shortly after. I have looked for
a connection, but cannot find one on your web-page. William and Sarah's
other children are John Paul, Thomas Edison, Janie Olivia, Mary Charlotte,
David Owen, Douglas Anthony, Robert and Ruth (these last being twins). If
you have or can learn anything of my branch, I would appreciate a response.

His father was John Cullon Crouch born in Fentress Co., Tenn.. I need any
information as to when John was born and died and who his parents were.
John Married a Lena Bell Girdler of Pulaski Co., Ky. She was born March
13, 1898 and died March 10, 1953.
I know the information I need should tie in with someone else's in the
Tennessee region. Please help or advise as to where I could get some

There has to be a Crouch connection to Washington Co, TN somewhere. John
Norwood was in Washington Co, TN by 1791.
John Norwood and Sarah Crouch were married January 24, 1803 with Sarah being
born May 09, 1785 (on Tombstone says July 9, 1785)
This marriage had to be in either Washington, Knox or Blount Co, TN.
The Sarah in Washington Co, TN is the right age but apparently married a
Hunt. I know this Sarah belongs in this group somewhere. Any suggestions?

It is pretty certain that she was living with her son S.C. Norwood when
she died.
Looking at the naming patterns her name was probably Sarah Jane. Her father
may have been William Crouch. I believe she was from Washington Co TN for
the following reasons.
1) John Norwood's mother was Mary Haile. Nicholas Haile (her relative) has
a published will in Washington Co TN.
Does anyone have any information on her and siblings parents etc. I have
to date not found a 1803 marriage location for them in TN. Considering the
birthdate of Joseph and some of the other Crouch males in the area she would
fall in line with these families datewise.
Certainly would appreciate any help that I can get.
