CATHERINE and GEORGE SLOUGH were born Abt. 1797 in PA, and died in
OH. George Slough was in the German Township of Montgomery County, Ohio
by 1850. George was a cooper (a maker of barrels) at Rohrer Distillery in
Germantown, Ohio.

CHRISTOPHER (CHRISTIAN) SLOUGH (son of CATHERINE and GEORGE
SLOUGH) was born 1826 in PA and died March 01, 1906 in Franklin, Warren
Co., OH ; bd NJ Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Carlisle, Warren Co.
He married SUSAN ELIZABETH SWOR Bet. 1850 - 1853 in Montgomery Co.,
OH , daughter of JOHN and SUSAN SWOR. She was born 1834 in PA, and
died 1870 in OH; bd NJ Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Carlisle, Warren Co.,
OH .
Christopher Slough worked as a farm laborer and cooper as a young man. Later
he was a farmer in his own right. Born in Pennsylvania about 1826, he came
to Ohio with his parents before 1850. He married Susan Elizabeth (Swor)
Swar who was born in Pennsylvania about 1834. Christopher died in 1906 aged
83 years, 2 months; and Susan in 1870. Both are buried in the cemetery of
the New Jersey Presbyterian Church at Carlisle. Sometimes Christopher's
name appears as Christian Slough. Cause of Death: "Old age"

SWOR are:
i. AARON E. SLOUGH, b. 1854, OH ; d. 1933,
OH ; bd New Jersey Presbyterian Church, which he and some of his children
helped build,Carlisle, Warren Co., OH. He m. CATHERINE MOUNT, dau. of JOHN
MOUNT and HANNAH VANDERVEER. She was born October 06, 1859, and died
October 31, 1885 in OH; bd New Jersey Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Carlisle,
Warren Co., OH. She died in childbirth and her sister Mary C. Mount moved
in to help raise Aaron and Catherine's children.

v. CHARLES EDWARD "BUTCH" SLOUGH, b. April 12, 1862, OH ; d. May

Cemetery, Carlisle, Warren Co., OH. He married EMMALINE MOUNT December 04,
1884, daughter of JOHN MOUNT and HANNAH VANDERVEER.
She was born April 22, 1864 in Montgomery Co., OH and died December 24,
1942 in Middletown, Butler Co., OH ; bd New Jersey Presbyterian Church Cemetery,
Carlisle, Warren Co., OH. Descendants of CHARLES SLOUGH
and EMMALINE MOUNT

vii. NORA SLOUGH, b. Abt. 1868. Nora Slough was enumerated on the 1880 Census
with the household of her grandfather, John Swar, in Miami Township, Montgomery
Co., OH.
