Co VA, 100 acres in Brunswick Parish for the lives of John Crouch and wife
Sarah and
William Weathers, son of John & Sarah Crouch. (Son [10] JOSEPH CROUCH
b 1749 is
not mentioned). 07 Mar 1765 a judgment was entered in favor of John Crouch
in a court
case in King George Co VA between John Crouch and Francis Day. By tradition,
[7] JOHN CROUCH moved his family to Henry Co VA by way of Halifax Co VA.
Presumably [7] JOHN CROUCH & his family did not leave King George Co
VA until 07
Mar 1765.

Co TN; 1812, Claiborne Co TN. (Questionable entries on John's residence
include: 1790, Harrison Co VA; 1793 Henry Co VA; & 1799, Henry Co VA.
John Crouch buried (assumed) in Big Springs Baptist Church Cemetery, Claiborne
Co TN; Sarah (Cloud) Crouch buried Buffalo Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery,
Washington Co NC/TN. John Crouch Sr. moved from King George Co VA to Stafford
Co VA, Halifax Co VA, & Henry Co VA then ca1781 to Washington Co NC/TN.
After John Crouch's 2nd marriage he moved to Claiborne Co TN to join some
of wife Elizabeth's children [Lane's]. (There were 2 separate Crouch families
in Henry Co VA at the same time, both containing the given name John. This
John Crouch Sr.'s son John is not to be confused with the John Crouch who
m 1785, Henry Co VA, Elizabeth Bradberry and went to Green Co KY).
