This set is weird on so many levels. First of all, it's not numbered or dated, so this number is from second hand info, and the date I've placed it under is only a guess. More importantly, it's not even labeled as a Fisher Price toy. This is just bizarre....I've found no other big set to be so blatently unmarked. The only marking that my set has is the mark "K1" pressed into the bottom.
Finally, it's just a strange set. It's a Little People fun ride combined with a Fisher Price record player. I assume it came with some records, mine didn't, but the records that come with the standard Fisher Price record player work just fine. (You know, those thick plastic ones with ridges and bumps, as pictured with the set). You put a record on the table, turn the hand crank, and the record plays while the ride turns. There is also a multi-colored plate in the bottom of the ride that spins as you turn the crank, making nice color patterns. Personally, I've had a lot of trouble getting this set to work very well, the records just don't play too well. I usually just end up taking the records off and seeing how fast I can spin the little people. Don't try this at home though, my little people are trained stunt professionals.
